The ground rules

6 things to know before you use Smart Bookmark.

Your data belongs to you

Everything you save is yours. We store it to run the app and for nothing else. No selling, no sharing.

What this means

You retain full ownership of every URL, title, description, and tag you store. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to store and display your content only to provide the app to you.

We do not sell, rent, or share your bookmark data with third parties for marketing or any other commercial purpose. Read the full picture in our Privacy Policy.

You must be 13 or older

Smart Bookmark is not designed for children. If you are under 13, please do not create an account.

Eligibility details

To use Smart Bookmark you must:

  • Be at least 13 years old (16 in regions where a higher digital consent age applies).
  • Have the legal capacity to agree to these terms.
  • Not be prohibited from using the service under any applicable law.
  • Not have had a previous account suspended or terminated for abuse.

By signing up you confirm all of the above are true.

Your account is your responsibility

Keep your password safe. One account per person. If something looks wrong, tell us immediately.

Account rules
  • Provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it current.
  • One account per person. Don't share your credentials or let others access your account.

Use it fairly, not harmfully

Smart Bookmark is for saving links you care about, nothing more. Don't use it to harm, scrape, or abuse the service.

What's not allowed

A few things we won't tolerate:

  • Attempting to hack, probe, or gain unauthorised access to our systems.
  • Scraping or crawling the service with bots or automated tools.
  • Using the service for anything illegal or to store links to illegal content.
  • Reverse-engineering or copying any part of the app.
  • Creating fake accounts or impersonating anyone.
  • Anything that disrupts the service for other users.

We can suspend accounts that abuse the service

We'll act quickly on clear abuse. You can also close your account yourself any time, with no questions asked.

Termination details

You can leave any time. Go to Settings and delete your account. Your data is removed immediately.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or harm the service or other users. We may do this with or without advance notice depending on severity.

If you believe your account was suspended in error, email us and we'll review it.

The service is provided as-is

We work hard to keep things running smoothly but can't promise zero downtime. If we change the terms, we'll let you know first.

The fine print
  • Availability: we aim for high uptime but may need to take the service down briefly for maintenance or security fixes.
  • No warranty: the service is provided "as is" without guarantees of any kind.
  • Changes to terms: if we make meaningful changes, we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
  • Governing law: these terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where Smart Bookmark operates.
