Your bookmarks are yours, full stop

We store what you save. No one else can see it, read it, or use it.

What we collect

When you sign up: your name and email address. That's it.

When you save a bookmark: the URL, title, description, and tags you enter. Nothing else. We don't visit your URLs or read page content on your behalf.

We also store an optional profile picture if you choose to upload one. Delete it any time from Settings.

We never sell your data. Ever.

No advertisers. No data brokers. No "partners". Your information has one purpose: making the app work for you.

Who can see your data

Only three parties ever touch your data:

You: always.
Our infrastructure: the server that stores and serves your bookmarks, under strict access controls.
Legal authorities: only if required by a valid court order. We'd notify you if we legally could.

Your password is unreadable, even to us

We can't see your password. Not now, not ever. It's mathematically scrambled before it touches our database.

How we protect your account

Passwords are hashed with Argon2, the current gold standard. The original is discarded immediately.
Session tokens live in httpOnly, Secure cookies, inaccessible to any script on the page.
All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
Login, OTP, and password-reset endpoints are rate-limited to block brute-force attacks.

Delete your account. Gone immediately.

Close your account and everything disappears: bookmarks, folders, profile. Instant. You're never trapped.

What stays and for how long

Your bookmarks & account: deleted immediately on account closure.
Server logs: kept 30 days for security monitoring, then automatically purged.
Encrypted backups: may hold a copy for up to 90 days as a safety net, then gone.

To delete: Settings → Account → Delete Account.

SmartLink AI is honest about what it sends

When you click SmartLink AI, your URL and title go to Google Gemini. Always opt-in, never automatic.

How SmartLink AI works

SmartLink is powered by Google Gemini. Clicking it sends the bookmark's URL, title, and description to Google's API to produce smarter labels and tags.

This only happens when you explicitly click SmartLink, never in the background. Google's use of API data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

You get 20 SmartLink uses per day (resets at UTC midnight). Entirely optional. Your bookmarks work fine without it.

You control everything

Access, update, or delete your data any time. No forms, no waiting weeks. Just email us.

Your rights

Access: request a copy of everything we hold on you.
Correct: update your name or email from Settings at any time.
Delete: close your account and your data is gone immediately.
Export: your bookmarks are yours and we'll export them on request.
